Kiya, a witch, is devastated when her cousin is murdered. Shortly after that, she becomes acquainted with Raith who informs her this murder is a pattern of killings done by an evil demon. The only lead is all the murders are connected with a band called Lusty Desires. Kiya vows to avenge the murder of her cousin and seeks out the help of the goddess Nyx to increase her witch powers. Nyx provides those powers but drastically changes Kiya in the process. The team of Kiya and Raith begin following the band and because of her financial background, Kiya becomes the band’s manager. The position provides an excellent reason for being with the band while the team searches for the demon.

Before you read the excerpt from A Witch and Her Dragons, I wanted to post a quick………….

This story is intended for 18+ readers due to strong language, descriptive sex scenes and graphic violence.

~ Excerpt ~

The all-night orgy of the band and their groupies is winding down and Kiya decides it’s time to go down to her room and sleep.

Kiya stifled a yawn and glanced at her watch. It was close to two in the afternoon. She finished her drink, stepped around the bar, and opened one of the drawers there. Kiya smiled when she spotted the extra keycard to her room attached to a lariat. She’d given it to Rudy when they’d checked in, knowing that at this party she’d be naked and have nowhere to keep it. There was another card there and she knew that one belonged to Kaley.
Kiya gazed around and saw there were a few diehards still fucking, Micca was one of them, but most of the guests and band members had succumbed to exhaustion. Rudy was another of the diehards. He crossed the room, his cock hanging limp from recent use and joined her at the bar. He fixed himself a drink, then asked her, “Wanna fuck some more, Kiya babe?”
She shook her head. “We already have, three times today. I’m tired and sore. Besides, I just saw you pounding that weapon of lady destruction between your legs into Micca’s pussy a few minutes ago and you’re limp.”
“Micca is a great fuck. I’ve sampled both her pussy and ass today. But you, my lusty lover, are better. And as for my limpness, those lips of yours are talented in other ways than kissing, I’m certain I would get hard for you in no time. If you want to go down to your room to fuck, I’m game.”
Kiya rolled her eyes. She placed one of the obligatory morning after pills on her tongue and made a point of having Rudy watch her wash it down with a drink of water. “We certainly can’t take a chance of me giving birth to a little Rudy.” She winked at him. “Goddess forbid that from ever happening.”
“I thought you told me you couldn’t get—”
“I can’t, I was just teasing you. Rudy, I’m going down to my room to sleep. Now be a good boy and go pass out somewhere.”
She placed the lariat over her head and stumbled on wobbly legs toward the elevator. In the foyer, she found her bag lined up with the others and picked it up. To her consternation, she found her clothing was missing. Kiya had a strong suspicion she knew who was responsible for the missing items and why they had been removed.
I am not going to stay up here in the penthouse with you, Rudy. When the doors slid open, she stepped into the car and selected her floor. Now if I can just get into my room without someone seeing me wearing nothing but my birthday suit. She was especially afraid she would run into Raith because his room was on the same floor and just a few doors down from hers.
Kiya sighed in relief when the door to her room closed behind her and she hadn’t encountered anyone. She pulled the lariat over her head and tossed it along with the small bag on the dresser top. Pulling the coverlet on her bed down exposed the crisp and inviting sheets. She pitched face down onto them and lay across the bed quickly drifting to sleep.
A knock on the door brought her fully alert. “I told him I was coming down here to sleep,” Kiya grumbled as she prepared to pin his ears back. Not even thinking of her undressed condition, she thrust the door open. Kaley, just as unclothed, stood in the hall facing her.
“God you’re so beautiful, Kiya. You always are, but when you’re all naked and glowing from being freshly fucked, you’re stunning.”
“Kaley hon, I’m tired, too tired to even think of having sex.”
“I’m tired, too, Kiya, I just want to sleep, but I don’t feel like sleeping alone. Will you let me stay with you?”
Kiya stood aside and ushered Kaley in. The two of them sprawled out on the bed and Kaley started laughing.
“What’s so funny?” Kiya asked.
“When I was coming down the hall, a handsome guy stepped out of his room and bumped into me. You should’ve seen his eyes grow wide when he saw I wasn’t wearing a damn stitch of clothing.”
“Oh goddess, what happened then?”
“Being my bashful self.” A grin stretched Kaley’s lips. “I spread my arms and legs and posed, providing him a full frontal view while telling him to take a picture to use for masturbation later.”
“Oh Gods, Kaley, you’re so bad. What did he do next?”
“He just shook his head, stepped back into his room, and closed the door. My hair is a fright and I reek of sex…but still I’m freaking naked. I guess he doesn’t like women, or at least he doesn’t like this one.”
“Maybe he was in shock. You don’t step out of your room into a naked woman normally, then have her brazenly display herself for you.”
“I guess not. But still, I’m freaking naked.”
In a short time, their laughter died away, and they surrendered to exhausted slumber.

HOW LONG CAN THEY RESIST THE FIRE THAT BLAZES BETWEEN THEM?

When you’re writing a book series, the last thing you want is for your readers to grow tiresome of reading the same ideas. It’s a difficult task to continue a storyline without it growing stale, repetitive and losing its appeal.

I’ve been reading KC since the start. For me, her books stand out among the crowd because she pairs the unlikeliest of couples. She doesn’t have couples immediately succumb to their desires and live HEA (happily ever after).

No, she has each pair show their strengths and weaknesses and how they are better-stronger together than apart. And yes, through this there are some bah chicka wah wah moments. Hell, this is a paranormal romance series so bring on the nakedness!

In the instance of Shadow’s Seduction, readers will most definitely see action of the lustful kind. Two men, vamp and demon, will find themselves mated and engaging in some panty-wetting scenes. There’s biting, sucking, domination, and horn licking.  KINKY! 😉

There’s also missions, laughter, heartache, and heart break.

And for the ending….

These two sexy paranormal gents are officially mates but all is not quiet. They are about to go on another mission to save Mina, Mirceo’s sister. (Cliffhanger)

review(review request submitted by the authors for an honest critique)

If you enjoy stories of the paranormal persuasion, then you’ll be pleased with your purchase of  “Moon, Mist, & Magic”. First of all, you get five (5) short stories by five (5) talented writers for about a dollar (kindle price). That’s truly a bargain! Second, you will be treated to a variety of supernatural beings including ghosts, witches, shifters, demons, vampire so you’ll definitely find something or someone you like. Probably more than one. 🙂 Really, I can’t imagine anyone not finding at least one short story they didn’t enjoy. For me, I found some stories sticking out in my mind more than others.

Let me break each down for you.

1) A Ghost of a Chance by Abigail Owen: Ok, I will admit on several occasions I found myself whispering, “I see dead people.” You all know the popular phrase and if you don’t you MUST WATCH The Sixth Sense (1999). It’s an amazing, spooky movie and one worth watching at least twice. Like the movie, I found myself wondering what would I do if I could see “dead people” and how life would be for myself and for my love ones. Josie became closed off to the world. Not an uncommon or unfathomed reason to her gift. But, I like how Abigail demonstrated the usefulness of the gift and set us up for more ghostly adventures.

2.) Dangerous Dreams by J.C. McKenzie: I love dragon shifters and wish I read more tales involving them. They are magical, majestic creatures who possess great power and command respect. And in this tale, we find out they are very horny too. There wasn’t any explicit sex scenes but you could feel their sexual nature through heated words and body language. In most cases, the promise of what to come is HOTTER than reading the actual “deed”. (There love story concludes with “to be continued”)

3.) Myths and Legends 101, by L.A. Kelley: Out of the five paranormal tales, I found this story the least memorable. Yes, it had a nice twist when they finally met and battled the obake (succubus). I did cackle at Dickenson’s reaction to “it” because he was a d!ck and d!cks need to be taken down a notch or two. However, everything leading up to the explosive ending was just blah. It didn’t wow me, Jim and Keilana didn’t impress me, and whom the obake targeted/possessed didn’t surprise me at all.

4.) The Keeper, by Sharon Saracino: Leopard shifters, a gryphon who resembles a Greek god, werewolf, a vamp, and a couple other surprise shifters. My, oh my, how I loved this story. Why? Because I didn’t expect Olivia to be a ………… Oh, I am not going to tell you. I will say she’s something very special and not “something” I’ve read about in a long while. Bravo Sharon!!

5.) Witch You Were Here, by Maureen L. Bonatch: Crossing a witch is never a wise choice. Teasing a witch in high school is doubly stupid because they can’t control their emotions, say things they might regret and YOU might get a magical tattoo right on your tight little tushy. Oh yeah, that’s what happened to Shane. Hilarious idea and a great ending tale to a wonderful collection of stories.

Congrats all around!!

Genre: Paranormal Romance

Keeping a lid on all the paranormal beings inhabiting Washington D.C., is a daunting job. Bruce, a six hundred year old demon and the Territory Overlord of the Western Hemisphere, keeps his finger on the pulse of DC’s power players through the activities at his highly successful Wycked Hair Salon. His movie star good looks and body builder physique keeps his dance card full and the rumor mills running. Within these walls, his anonymity is safe, mostly.

She is the younger sister of Tristian, Bruce’s long time trusted enforcer, whose professional skills are second to none. I swear 80% of this book felt like foreplay. Tease, tease, and (wait for it) yes more teasing. Heck, I think I was about to take myself a cold shower. JK… not really. 🙂

Speaking of Bom Chicka Wah Wah, after Bruce and Angie finally consummated their relationship, I was waiting for the epic fight once Tristan found out. He blew his stack, but the fight was over as quick as it begun. Kind of a let down.

On a positive note, how much do I adore watching Bruce’s parents interact. Those two prove opposites do in fact attract. Seriously, you can’t get more opposite than them. *wink wink*

Oh, one more thing, sexxxxxy cover. I totally approve of it. 😉

With the majestic Rocky Mountains for a backdrop, Tena Stetler is a paranormal romance author with an over-active imagination.  She wrote her first vampire romance as a tween, to the chagrin of her mother and the delight of her friends. Tena finds stories in the strangest places, while camping, kayaking, or hiking in the mountains. Even at the hair salon ie A Demon’s Witch.  So far, she’s only found one dead body (imagined not real) during a camping trip, turned it into an exciting paranormal romantic suspense that’s nearly complete. For many years, Tena worked as a paralegal for a criminal law firm. You won’t believe the tales she can spin from that experience! Colorado is her home; shared with her husband, a brilliant Chow Chow, a spoiled parrot and a forty-year-old box turtle.  She loves the adventure of a road trip. Together with her husband and their companion animals, they have logged thousands of miles in their RV visiting over three-quarters of the United States.  The great northeast and Alaska are still on the bucket list. Any winter evening, you can find her curled up in front of a crackling fire with a good book, a mug of hot chocolate and a big bowl of popcorn.

Dances with Demons by Lori Handeland (Book Review)

51nncuvc0kl-_sx311_bo1204203200_

When a demon comes calling Megan Murphy’s bar blows sky-high, and she’s suddenly on the run with her klutzy day shift bartender, the exceedingly gorgeous Quinn Fitzpatrick.

Quinn has been in love with Megan from the moment he saw her. Too bad he’s living a lie. He isn’t as klutzy as he makes out, nor as human as she believes. Quinn was sent to protect Megan from anything that slithers.

But there’s danger afoot, and the best place for them both is one that’s far, far away. A place Quinn Fitzpatrick once called home. Ireland–land of fairies and gargoyles, shape-shifters, dragons and more.

There they will dance with demons, and Megan will uncover every secret Quinn has.

It’s rare that the hero in the story is a virgin. That, I found refreshing.
He was also a shifter, but was also something more. What else…..yeah, I’m not telling you. You’ll have to buy the novella and discover that secret for yourself. *grins*

I was thrilled to see Liz back in the series. She was “missing” in the last short story and it wasn’t the same. Now if only Sawyer would return. He’s one of my favorite characters and I know his story isn’t over. Can’t be.
