** Book Three **

Daughter of the Dirt Dweller’s ruler; Tessla Reto attempts to escape the Underworld after the mysterious disappearance of her best friend. She knows her untimely death is also near if her father, Landen Reto discovers her part in forming the rebels to fight against him. The two men sent to help her get away are killed and she’s rescued by a handsome stranger…or is she?

Faerydae returns to Earth in search of an inner peace his soul can’t find after the death of his friend Chandra Lamar. Instead, he finds himself in an unplanned rescue of a woman that stirs everything he’s fought a lifetime to deny. Can Faerydae stay focused on his goal to expose his past and true Fae bloodline, or will destiny play her hand?

Shomar’s uncomplicated world is tossed asunder when his best friend, Faerydae, shows up with a stray puppy and a woman who steals the heart of his soul the moment he looks at her. Only to discover Faerydae and the woman claim they can’t stand each other, yet his intuition tells him otherwise. Will Shomar be able to win the woman of his dreams or will Faerydae always have her heart?

Will Tessla find her freedom? Will Faerydae keep his, or will Shomar succeed in his plan to expose them to their hidden ecstasy?

“Exposed Ecstasy”: Unlike “Sinful Surrender” (book 1) and “Phantom Desire “(book 2), I didn’t completely fall in love with the heroes and heroine. Faerydae was an ass for the majority of the story. He did have moments where he showed his sweet and loving side such as when he gave Tessla the pup, their time in Elfhame, and the final chapters. However, for the most part, he played games with her heart, spoke with little patience, and became a person I dreaded entering a conversation/room.

Tessla didn’t come off as a strong woman who had the backbone to stand up against her father, Reto. Her begging Faerydae to allow her to be a part of his life in some way wasn’t flattering. Especially when he kept pushing her away. I know you can’t give up on love but I just didn’t understand her behavior, especially since she hardly knows him.

Out of the three of them, Shomar was the only likable character. He was sweet, charming, romantic and wore his heart on his sleeve. His begging forTessla not to leave him seemed too much since, again, he barely knew her. In fact, he wanted to marry her after knowing her 24 hours.

But, that’s how the men roll in this series. They go from 0 to 60 in less than 2 seconds. For me, I wish the men, in general,  would start slowing down.

As for Faerydae, I wanted him to stop doing the “We can’t.” — “I can’t.” — “I want you.” — “We are a mistake.” — bullshit game sooner. It got old fast, like his character.

On the lam after betraying his evil ruler, ex-Dirt Dweller and drifter Jaden Valenti confirms his name is on a hit list. Due to the obsessions of a Fae woman Sori gave up his hardearned royal title and left his homeland of Elfame. Love is the furthest thing from his mind until he is sent in Jaden’s place to pick-up some cargo…human cargo in the form Kindise Wyatt. He feels the Fae magnetism of his soulmate in her. Problem is; she’s in love with someone else.

Will Jaden fulfill his orders to kill Kindise and get his name removed from the list, or will his secret be exposed and betray the friendship he has with Sori? Does Sori help Kindise find her lover, or will a love between them have a chance to flourish before a fatal attraction and a determined captor rip their love asunder? Will Kindise find true love or will betrayals at every turn crush the fight out of her? Can she find her inner strengths to keep fighting and lead The Freedom Fighters to defeat the Dirt Dweller elites, once and for all?

“Intimate Betrayal”: Where I thought “Exposed Ecstasy” was lacking in character development and plot formation, “Intimate Betrayal” delivered a one-two punch of non-stop action and adventure.

In “Intimate Betrayal”, we shall meet a variety of different people: reluctant assassins, Old World Mole, Star Rider, badass women, and the spawn of Satan (not literally).

This cast and their interactions made time fly by for me. I was so engrossed in the pages I didn’t realize I had missed a meal and that’s a hard feat for a writer to accomplish because this chick loves her food. 🙂

Know what else I liked? Houston didn’t have her women lacking in curves or have them weak/dependent on men. Elaine and Makayla don’t need a man to protect them because they proved they can handle their own shit. This I loved!!!

What else I loved? The very last sentence of the book. Reading it, you just know shit is about to get real in book 5 (title and release date unknown).

With all the love I had for “Intimate Betrayal”, I deducted a heart because of a one major ugh moment. Jaden was hell-bent on not sharing Kindise. All the way up to chapter 15, he held firm to this notion — one man, one woman. After Kindise told him it’s all or nothing, he came on board with it. Then, they had a threesome. I’m not buying this total turnaround and I don’t believe neither man will succumb to the green-eyed monster in the future.

Out with a Bang: Romance on the Go by Sarah Marsh (Book Review)

Length: 51 pages – MMF

When Laura Harper walked into her interview for Dover and Harding Engineering, she never could have imagined how rewarding it could be to find a place for herself where her organizational skills were relied upon and needed so badly. Sure it didn’t hurt that the two men who had hired her were straight out of her wildest fantasies, but had she let her feelings go too far? Was it just wishful thinking that they might want her in return?

Greyson Harding and Barrett Dover knew the moment Laura walked into their office that they’d finally found the woman they wanted to share their lives with. So they began by hiring the sweet, shy woman and hoped they could convince her that their interest was more than a passing attraction. But after five years they’ve finally run out of time and if they aren’t careful, they could lose Laura for good.

Adult Content

Grey loved the way Laura’s eyes dilated even further at his whispered words, and when she licked her lips, he couldn’t resist any longer. He closed the distance between their mouths and kissed her finally. When her lips opened on a gasp, he pushed forward and took her mouth like he’d been imagining for all these years.

It was sensual, and deep, filled with all the longing he’d been holding back. She tasted just as good as he knew she would have, like strawberries and the wine she’d had with dinner. He pulled back when Barrett let out a groan, knowing that he had to share the bounty of her soft mouth, and when he did, she moaned and tried to follow his retreat. Grey liked that. His cock was already hard enough to hurt, and the little noises of surrender coming from those sweet lips of hers made him ache even more to slide inside of her.

When Barrett leaned forward and took Laura’s mouth in a desperate kiss, Grey moved his attention to the delectable body that he’d been imagining for what felt like eternity. Laura kept herself covered up, but in those sexy skirts, Grey imagining bending her over on just about every surface in the office. Truth be told, it was significantly cutting into his productivity. He thought about fucking her three quarters of the day, and knew that Barrett did the same. Ironically, without her here to keep things running smoothly, their business would have suffered.

He ran his shaking hands down her sides, his thumbs barely grazing the hard nipples he could see through her dress. The dress he had bought her. He really liked the thought that she was wearing what he had chosen for her. He wondered though, what she’d picked to wear underneath it, and as he found the side zipper and slowly lowered it, his pulse was racing at the thought of all that creamy white skin that was now theirs for the taking. When he reached up and undid the clasp of the halter top around her neck, the dress slowly cascaded down her curvy body, revealing bright, red lace that made both men groan in appreciation.

“You’ve been hiding this sexy body from us for too long, baby,” Barrett said with a growl. “I want to touch it all. Grey, let’s see what’s ours.”

So these two dominant males wait 5 years for Laura to make the first move knowing very well her shy nature wouldn’t allow her to do so. They love her, want her, but still have conquests while they wait for her to make said move. In chapter five, Barrett could tell by Laura’s expression she was expecting to be asked out by Grey. I’m sorry but the five-year-plan should’ve went out the window long before it did. They knew she was interested so the Doms should’ve stepped up to the plate well before chapter 9.

With that said, once they realized they were losing her, the gloves came off. The Doms definitely took charge. THANK F…K!!

To sum up certain pivotal chapters, I’ve named them which I think gives you as idea what’s in store before you read them. And, oh, YOU SHOULD READ THEM!

Chapter 11: It’s time to get down and dirty……talk!
Chapter 12: The fun’s just beginning….
Chapter 13: May I lend you a hand?

I could name them all but I think the ones above might’ve sparked some interest so, with that in mind, my job is now complete.

Happy Reading!!

Sarah Marsh is a hopeless romantic who loves a steamy twist to her plot lines and characters who will go the extra mile in order to find their happy endings.

Sarah lives in British Columbia, Canada. She’s still working a regular day job in an office, so the escape of writing and creating new worlds is the best way to relax and let go. Creating characters who can make her laugh and fall in love at the same time will always be her inspiration, and she hopes that you’ll love them just as much as she does.

Sarah currently has a science fiction romance series published with Siren Publishing, and a dark contemporary MF romance in the works with Limitless Publishing. This is year two into the writing adventure and it’s looking to be a busy one

Chasing Faete & Deciding Her Faete: Beyond the Veil, Book 1 & 2 by Sarah Marsh, Elena Kincaid, and Maia Dylan (Book Review)

 Paranormal Romance – (MMF)

Erica’s been on the run from her parents’ murderer for years, but her luck has finally run out. She finds herself caught by the man who tortured her for years, but she’s prepared to fight him rather than go back to the Fae King. She almost thinks she’s hallucinating when two wolf shifters appear out of nowhere to save her—but that could be the blood loss talking.

Leo and Ben are thrilled to stumble onto the scent of their mate as they were on a routine patrol. They follow their noses and barely find her in time, wounded and battling with a group of armed Fae. Life is about to get a whole lot more complicated when it comes to mating their little pixie.

Erica can’t deny the bond she feels with her wolves, but will the need to avenge her family and change the fate of the Fae realm cost her the loves she’s waited so long to find?

(review request submitted by Sarah Marsh  for an honest critique)

Amazon has this book listed as erotic and the site couldn’t get it any truer. These three (two wolf shifters and a Fae woman) started having sex within 24 hours of meeting each other.

~~ Need help relaxing? Answer: sex. Yup, the BIG O is better than a Valium.
~~ Awake and feeling hungry? Of course, sex should be on the menu. Right?
~~ Feeling blue? Let me cheer you up with my schlong.
~~ Victory sex. Not a question. 100% statement!

Now with all the nakedness happening, I would change one thing within the scenes. In chapter 7, I would’ve changed this phrasing, “pussy leaked”. For me, that was a 100% not attractive usage of words. Cockheads should “leak”, not vaginas.

As for the plot, there is a battle of epic proportions. Wolves, bears, cougars and some pissed off Faes.
Speaking of Faes, I’d love to have Erica’s power of healing. As a parent, that ability could come in real handy.

Oh and speaking of cougar-shifters, I have one word to describe Braxas —–> Meeeeoooowwww!

There are two things I love when reading any book.
1.) Strong characters
2) Plot twists / surprises

Sarah Marsh, Elena Kincaid, and Maia Dylan delivered on both. I won’t go into detail because I want you to be surprised by the many WTF unveils. However I will say the end of chapter twelve (12) was remarkably shocking and I loved Jason’s reaction to what occurred. Trust me, his reaction was absolutely justified.

I also thought the usage of April’s glowing palms during sex was both arousing and, during one point, comical. This will all makes sense once you read the sex scenes. They left quite an impression on the men in more ways than one. 😉

In regards to the plot of the missing women and the Fey, this will all come to head in a battle where three women, (Erica, April, and Corinne) demonstrate their skill-set and why anyone should think twice about going up against them. During this section, another bomb is dropped and we meet Ishaya. I already heart him. <3

For those who recall Braxas, he’s back and delivering ANOTHER game changer. (See epilogue)

Folks, I for one hope these authors deliver us part three of Beyond The Veil sooner rather than later because Sarah Marsh, Elena Kincaid, and Maia Dylan left us with one helluva cliffhanger!

Sarah Marsh was born in British Columbia where she still lives, she has only recently began her writing career finding it the perfect outlet for taking the edge off a nine to five office job. She’s been a science fiction and romance junkie for years and when her imagination started to take the characters she’d read about even further in their adventures she decided to try writing something of her own.

Sarah’s also a former pastry chef and spends a lot of time cooking and baking for friends and family as well as painting and knitting. Her biggest weaknesses are animals of any kind…she even loves the ones that wake you up at four in the morning because they can almost see the bottom of their food dish.

When it comes to life in general she’s a big believer that laughter is the best medicine and that there’s no such thing as too much love, which is why she’s such a sucker for a happy ending.

Although ultimately her dream is to be able to write full time on a sandy beach with a Mai Tai at hand, she is quite happy to fit her writing in when she can.  As long as someone reads her books, gets a laugh and maybe come to love her characters and much as she does, then she feels that she is living her dreams no matter what!

Interview with Teesa Mee

Welcome, Teesa Mee❣

1. For those who might not be familiar with you, would you be a dear and tell the readers a little about yourself? How did you get your start in the writing business?

(Teesa) I am the oldest five children and the only girl. My last three brothers were born when I was 14, 16, and 17, so I became their built-in babysitter. I attended the University of Michigan in the pre-med program, but decided I was just not competitive enough to become a doctor. After a bad breakup, I failed to complete one class and forfeited my degree in Experimental Biology. However, I had a job waiting and did not return to college for 36 years. In the meantime, I married, adopted two children, worked in administrative and supervisory positions, and then lost my son to suicide when he was 24. The toll of the grief on my health was devastating. I lost my job in December 2009, and we soon lost our home and a vehicle to bankruptcy. (My husband has been totally disabled since 1999.) When Social Security granted me SSDI to deal with my health, I began to recover and returned to college. I graduated a year ago with a BS in Information Science, specializing in Web Development. However, along the way, I began editing for several independent authors and decided to pursue that instead of Web design. My business is called Indie Editing Services and you can find me on Facebook under that name and my website is www.indieeditingservices.com.

I began writing during my teenage years to deal with the angst I was feeling. I wrote poetry and song lyrics, and composed stories to tell my younger brothers.  When I overcame my grief over the loss of my son, I began a memoir on surviving suicide grief. I hope to publish that early next year. I have also participated in several anthologies, published those teen poems in a volume called Looking Back: Poems from the Adolescent Me, and just published my Thesaurus Erotica.

2. Do you ever suffer from writer’s block? If so, please share how you handle it.

(Teesa) Sometimes the words just flow. Other times, not so much. I have a novella on the back burner. I have written 5K of it, the beginning and the end. I’m stuck on the middle section and have decided to just let it sit, coming back to it now and again. I find that taking walks and reading other books often helps.

3. Contrary to what some people envision about a romance writer’s life, it’s not all glitz and glam. Well not for the majority of us. With that bubble sadly busted, when you’re not writing, how do you spend your time?

(Teesa) I have a full-time job as the customer service manager for a start-up software company. The best part is I get to work from home. I also run Indie Editing Services, editing other authors’ books. I enjoy my two dogs and they demand my attention throughout the day. When I can, I spend time with my 11-year-old grandson. He is the joy of my life. Then there’s laundry, grocery shopping, vacuuming, and dusting.

4. I know many writers, such as myself, keep their pastime/career a secret. Do those close to you know you write? If so, what are their thoughts?

(Teesa) I have a pen name to protect my family of birth from my secret career. However, my close family members and friends know that I write and they are highly encouraging of me. Some of my best support comes from other authors I have met on social media.

5. Will you share with us your all-time favorite authors? If you’re like me, it’s a long list so give us your top ten.

(Teesa) Thanks for limiting it to ten, or I could be here all day
and night.

  1. Edna Ferber, who wrote one of my all-time favorite books, Show Boat, which became America’s first musical!
  2. Margaret Mitchell’s Gone with the Wind.
  3. Andrew Greeley; I love his view of God as an adolescent girl in a huge crush with humanity.
  4. Stephen King, especially Salem’s Lot and The Stand.
  5. Anne McCaffery, all of her Dragonriders of Pern books and her Acorna books.
  6. JD Robb’s In Death Series. The relationship between Eve Dallas and Rourke is HAWT!
  7. Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander series
  8. Michael Connelly, especially his Harry Bosch books.
  9. Jane Austen, who doesn’t love her books and she has inspired so many more writers of Victorian romance.
  10. Mason Sabre, my good friend, who writes the most emotionally engaging paranormal stories I have ever read!

6. If you could choose one book to go to the big screen, yours or otherwise, which book would you choose and whom would you love to see cast in the parts?

(Teesa) Ooh, that’s a toughie because many of my faves have been turned into movies. I guess I would go with JD Robb’s Naked in Death starring Scarlett Pomer as Eve Dallas and Tom Ellis as Roarke.

7. Would you care to tell us what you’re working on now? That is if it’s not top-secret information. If so, just whisper it in my ear. I swear it’ll go no further.

(Teesa) It’s no secret at all. My current project is a memoir of surviving suicide grief called Who Am I Now? I’m also working on a novella about a family of serial killers and the cop who is hunting them. Then way back, I’m working on a full novel called Mementoes based on the song Lydia the Tattooed Lady.

8. Where can we find your stories, and is there a particular reading order?

(Teesa) In order of publication, but not reading order, I have Looking Back, Poems from My Adolescent Self (Kindle Purchase Link)

Demon Depression (essay) and Sunshine (poem) in This Beautiful Escape Vol. 1

Don’t Give Up (essay) and Don’t Despair (poem) in
This Beautiful Escape Vol. 2

Two poems in
